Plan a Class or Performance Trip to Vienna

Vienna is a stunning spot on the banks of the Danube River. Its nearly 500-year history is deeply rooted in classical music, art, and architecture. The capital of Austria will charm your students with its vibrant “cafe culture,” elegant streets, world-class museums, imperial palaces, and more – all with the snowcapped Alps in the distance!

Vienna Highlights

Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival

The Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival is Europe’s premier festival event for choirs, bands, and orchestras. Ensembles from around the world come together to perform, connect, and create intercultural exchanges.

St Stephen’s Cathedral

St. Stephen’s Cathedral is one of Vienna’s most recognizable features and among the most important Gothic structures in Austria.  It’s home to a multitude of jaw-dropping treasures like the Vienna Neustadt altarpiece.

Perhaps even more breathtaking is the panoramic view of the city… after you climb the 343 steps of the south tower!!

Mozarthaus Vienna (Mozart’s House)

Step into Mozarthaus and back to the days when Mozart made his home in this large and incredibly elegant apartment. From 1784 to 1787, Mozart and his family lived and worked in this space. In fact, it was while he resided here that he wrote the world-famous opera “Le Nozze di Figaro” and three of the six Haydn Quartets.

Schönbrunn Palace and Palace Park

The Schönbrunn Palace is a must-see for students! The château is a UNESCO World Heritage site and former summer residence for the Habsburgs, the imperial family that ruled Austria from the late 1200s until 1918.

The palace has 1,441 magnificent rooms, stunning gardens, and its own zoo! Students will love touring the house and grounds for a peek at the oh-so-glamorous life of the ruling class!

Prater Amusement Park

The Prater Amusement Park is a great place for students to kick up their heels and have some fun! Games, rides, and attractions abound – and be sure to hop on the world-famous Ferris wheel for a bird’s eye view of the city.

The Naschmarkt

The Naschmarkt is Vienna’s largest and most popular open-air market. Students can sample the local flavors or get a taste of the city’s vibrant atmosphere. With more than 120 food and beverage stalls, the market is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

Cannon School

We had an absolutely amazing experience on our recent kids’ trip to Disney! From start to finish, everything was organized so well, and the entire experience was smooth and unforgettable. A huge part of what made this trip so special was our incredible guide, Stevie. Stevie did an outstanding job keeping the kids engaged, excited, and having fun every step of the way. You could see how naturally the kids connected with him — he made everyone feel included, safe, and part of the adventure. His energy, patience, and leadership truly set the tone for an amazing trip.

Our trip to Washington, D.C. was fantastic. The company put together an itinerary that was the perfect balance between musical activities, educational experiences, and fun stuff for the kids. Highlights of the trip included the Smithsonian Museums, viewing the monuments in the National Mall, the Festivals of Music performance, the awards ceremony at Medieval Times, and the rides at Six Flags America. Our tour guides, Katie and Gabby, were outstanding. They helped the bus drivers navigate driving in D.C. They provided options for us when the weather decided not to cooperate. I hope to work with them again in the future.

Our trip to France was AMAZING in every possible way. Our guide Shona was phenomenal, cannot say enough about her. She was funny, engaging, informative & learned everyone’s name (41 of us) by the end of our trip. She’s the best! This trip will be one of the highlights of my life. We saw beautiful Nice, Aux-en-Provence, Avignon, Monaco & Paris. The Eiffel Tower was breathtaking & the Louvre was impressive. The French people were so nice & we enjoyed every aspect of this trip. Accommodations were great as well, and the food was outstanding. A+++ for this trip.  Merci beaucoup!!!

Kaleidoscope made this trip super easy! Participants could pay using the online portal which made collecting funds simple. When we ended up with less than the original quote, they helped us brainstorm in order to keep the trip cost the same for the students. The office staff was easy to contact and just top notch! Once on the trip, we had a blast! They built a wonderful itinerary that included Southern Star Music Festival, two days in Six Flags, Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, The Varsity, and an Atlanta Braves game! We had meal vouchers at the various locations which made sure our middle schoolers ate! LauraAnne was incredible at communication and in helping to ensure that we had a fantastic experience! Best host ever!

This trip was truly the trip of a lifetime. Our tour directors, Gabby and Keith were excellent in every single way. Their communication was clear and consistent, we never felt like we were left in the dark or did not know how to be prepared for the next itinerary item. There were a few tricky moments, as expected, they were handled with the upmost professionalism and grace. The sights and sounds of London were echoed throughout our group and I loved having room in the schedule to explore on our own as well as doing activities as a group.

Wonderful tour! Nashville is a beautiful city with so many attractions to see. We used this company for a school band trip. They kept us safe, organized, and entertained the entire duration. Highly recommend having Lighthouse Linda for a guide! Thanks for helping us make lasting memories with our kiddos!
