South Korea Class Trip

The spotlight is on South Korea – where ancient royal dynasties and K-Pop culture collide!

On the southern portion of the Korean peninsula in East Asia is a small country with a big personality! South Korea is just slightly smaller than the state of Pennsylvania but offers diverse and eclectic educational and cultural experiences in a setting that will take your breath away. It’s a journey that will inspire countless memories along the way.

South Korea Highlights

Gyeongbokgung Palace

Gyeongbokgung Palace (1395) was the first royal palace of the Joseon dynasty. This magnificent structure is considered the grandest of Seoul’s five palaces, offering incredible insights into Korea’s royal history.  It was one of South Korea’s first and most important landmarks.

Bukchon Hanok Village

Bukchon Village also dates back more than six centuries. This preserved area of traditional Korean houses (called hanoks) welcomes visitors to explore cultural centers, guesthouses, restaurants and tea houses.

Remember, though, that this is an actual neighborhood – please be respectful!

DMZ Tour

On July 27, 1953, a cease fire in the Korean War was signed and a de facto military line of demarcation established along the 38th parallel. The result was a war buffer zone – a strip of land called the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ.)

This area now divides a once united nation into North Korea and South Korea. It’s a heavily military-controlled border area, but there are regions around the DMZ that are accessible to visitors. These sections remind us of the sacrifice and loss of the Korean War and represent hope for peaceful reunification someday.

Samsung Innovation Museum

The Samsung Innovation Museum (SIM) is the largest museum in the country dedicated to the history of the electronics industry. Visitors get an immersive experience that highlights the evolution of technology, from early electrical discoveries to modern innovations. It’s perfect for tech-loving teens!

Lotte World

Lotte World in Seoul is an absolute must-do for students! It’s a massive entertainment complex featuring both an indoor theme park (Lotte World Adventure) and an outdoor amusement park (Magic Island). Opened in 1989, it has become one of Korea’s most popular attractions, drawing millions of visitors annually.

Cannon School

We had an absolutely amazing experience on our recent kids’ trip to Disney! From start to finish, everything was organized so well, and the entire experience was smooth and unforgettable. A huge part of what made this trip so special was our incredible guide, Stevie. Stevie did an outstanding job keeping the kids engaged, excited, and having fun every step of the way. You could see how naturally the kids connected with him — he made everyone feel included, safe, and part of the adventure. His energy, patience, and leadership truly set the tone for an amazing trip.

Cario Middle School Orchestra

Our trip to Washington, D.C. was fantastic. The company put together an itinerary that was the perfect balance between musical activities, educational experiences, and fun stuff for the kids. Highlights of the trip included the Smithsonian Museums, viewing the monuments in the National Mall, the Festivals of Music performance, the awards ceremony at Medieval Times, and the rides at Six Flags America. Our tour guides, Katie and Gabby, were outstanding. They helped the bus drivers navigate driving in D.C. They provided options for us when the weather decided not to cooperate. I hope to work with them again in the future.

Connetquot High School Music

Our trip to France was AMAZING in every possible way. Our guide Shona was phenomenal, cannot say enough about her. She was funny, engaging, informative & learned everyone’s name (41 of us) by the end of our trip. She’s the best! This trip will be one of the highlights of my life. We saw beautiful Nice, Aux-en-Provence, Avignon, Monaco & Paris. The Eiffel Tower was breathtaking & the Louvre was impressive. The French people were so nice & we enjoyed every aspect of this trip. Accommodations were great as well, and the food was outstanding. A+++ for this trip.  Merci beaucoup!!!

Groton-Dunstable Regional High School Band & Choir

Kaleidoscope made this trip super easy! Participants could pay using the online portal which made collecting funds simple. When we ended up with less than the original quote, they helped us brainstorm in order to keep the trip cost the same for the students. The office staff was easy to contact and just top notch! Once on the trip, we had a blast! They built a wonderful itinerary that included Southern Star Music Festival, two days in Six Flags, Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, The Varsity, and an Atlanta Braves game! We had meal vouchers at the various locations which made sure our middle schoolers ate! LauraAnne was incredible at communication and in helping to ensure that we had a fantastic experience! Best host ever!

East Edisto Middle School Choir

This trip was truly the trip of a lifetime. Our tour directors, Gabby and Keith were excellent in every single way. Their communication was clear and consistent, we never felt like we were left in the dark or did not know how to be prepared for the next itinerary item. There were a few tricky moments, as expected, they were handled with the upmost professionalism and grace. The sights and sounds of London were echoed throughout our group and I loved having room in the schedule to explore on our own as well as doing activities as a group.

Pride of Dayton Marching Band

Wonderful tour! Nashville is a beautiful city with so many attractions to see. We used this company for a school band trip. They kept us safe, organized, and entertained the entire duration. Highly recommend having Lighthouse Linda for a guide! Thanks for helping us make lasting memories with our kiddos!
