Hosted by Hollywood’s finest, this festive holiday parade is held the Sunday after Thanksgiving.  Bands of all types are welcome to apply.  They are selected based on a variety of criteria, including musicianship, marching ability, uniqueness and entertainment value. In addition, bands must have the ability to perform field show-type maneuvers while continuing to march.  Hurry!  The deadline for application is February 1^st of the parade year! About the Parade After the turkey is gone, pack up your band and head to Los Angeles for the Hollywood Christmas Parade.  It starts Sunday evening in the heart of Hollywood on Hollywood Boulevard and Orange Drive and winds through famous Sunset Boulevard before looping back to Orange Drive. Bands experience a taste of celebrity as they “march the red carpet” in the telecast zone.  The parade is broadcast on the CW Network, giving your marching band a national platform on which to perform!    Celebrities, floats and balloons are all part of the fun! How to Apply Bands of all types and ages are encouraged to apply for participation.  They must be able to march and perform field show movements, as well as demonstrate musicianship.  Bands must present a certificate of liability and apply no later than February 1^st of the parade year. Directors are also encouraged to share a special story about or highlight a famous former member of their bands.  These may be announced by the hosts during the telecast!
