As you plan your student group trip to Orlando, you’re probably thinking about thrill rides, incredible performances, and unforgettable days inside the parks at Walt Disney World®. BUT…  some of the most memorable moments can happen before you ever get to the parks!

Whether you’ve just arrived in Orlando, have a free evening before your performance, or are squeezing in some fun before heading home, make the most of your time at Disney Springs® with a sensational scavenger hunt your students will love!

Why a Scavenger Hunt at Disney Springs?

A Disney Springs scavenger hunt takes your spare time from ordinary to extraordinary.  It’s the perfect mix of friendly competition, creative problem-solving and active exploration. Simply put – it’s an adventure you don’t want to miss!

Here’s How to Plan Your Disney Springs Scavenger Hunt

1. The Challenge

Work together to complete as many challenges as possible before time runs out. Some tasks require observation, others creativity, and a few will test your teamwork.

The team with the highest score wins – but remember that good sportsmanship, respect for others, and having fun are all part of the challenge.

 2. Teams and Time Limits

Teams should consist of 4–6 students and should stay together at all times. Each must remain with their assigned chaperone (or follow your group’s supervision rules).

More Disney Fun and Games

If your group loves these kinds of challenges, there are more Disney fun and games to play throughout the parks!

Hidden Mickey Challenge

One of the most popular scavenger hunts at Walt Disney World® Resort is the search for Hidden Mickeys… Mickey Mouse silhouettes cleverly tucked into attractions, artwork, landscaping, architecture, and décor throughout the parks and resorts. You’ll find these Mickeys in all the theme parks – turning a day at Disney into an interactive adventure.

3 metal plates on a green door

Students can participate individually by keeping a checklist, snapping photos, or tracking their discoveries in a mobile app as they explore the parks.

For groups, the hunt becomes even more exciting as a team challenge. Divide students into small teams and award points for each Hidden Mickey found, with bonus points for rare or difficult locations. It’s a fun way to encourage observation, teamwork, problem-solving, and exploration while adding an extra layer of Disney magic to the experience.

Oh… and if you need an answer key? We can help with that, too… 😉

Kingdom Keepers Adventure

For groups that enjoy storytelling and mystery, create a challenge inspired by Ridley Pearson’s popular Kingdom Keepers book series.

Students can create their own Kingdom Keepers Challenge while visiting the parks by searching for landmarks, attractions, and locations featured throughout the books. Students keep a checklist and snap photos at each featured spot.

Teacher’s Guide to the Kingdom Keepers Series

As a group, teams can compete to locate the most Kingdom Keepers locations, answer Disney trivia questions, or complete themed challenges tied to the story. It’s a fun way to combine reading, exploration, teamwork, and Disney magic while seeing the parks through the eyes of the Kingdom Keepers themselves.

Team Photo Challenge

Want to keep it super simple and totally on point for teens!

Give every team a list of photo missions:

  • Most creative group pose
  • Best school spirit photo
  • Funniest action shot
  • Best recreation of a movie scene
  • Best “album cover” photo
  • Best use of Orlando scenery

At the end of the day, leaders can vote on winners.

Turn Free Time into Fun Time

While the parks may be the headline attraction, a scavenger hunt at Disney Springs is a great chance for student groups to connect, laugh, and explore together. With a little creativity, an hour of free time becomes a team-building experience. And of course – there are lots of opportunities to add a little ‘pizazz’ to your park day!

At Kaleidoscope Adventures, we believe every moment of your trip matters, and sometimes the best memories happen between the big attractions.
