Adler Planetarium
The Adler Planetarium — America’s First Planetarium — was founded in 1930 by Chicago business leader Max Adler. The museum is home to three full-size theaters, including the all-digital projection Definiti® Space Theater, the Sky Theater which utilizes a Zeiss optical projector, and the Universe 3D Theater. It is also home to one of the world’s most important antique instrument collections. The Adler is a recognized leader in science education, with a focus on inspiring young people to pursue careers in science.
Chicago Botanic Garden
The Chicago Botanic Garden, located on 385 acres, features 23 display gardens and three native habitats. With its world-renowned plant collections, tree collections and displays, it is a preeminent center for learning and scientific research. The Field Museum
The Field Museum has unbelievable exhibits on wildlife, Native American cultures, the Ice Age, Africa, the Pacific Coastline, gemstones, and dinosaurs, including “Sue,” the largest T-Rex skeleton ever found. Groups can explore the many wonders of the museum including entering a reconstruction of an Egyptian pyramid, complete with real mummies and artifacts.
Lincoln Park Zoo

Museum of Science and Industry
The Museum of Science and Industry is the largest science museum in the U.S. Home to more than 35,000 artifacts and 14 acres of hands-on exhibits, the museum is a favorite for teachers. Shedd Aquarium
Beautifully situated on the shores of Lake Michigan, the aquarium houses nearly 22,000 aquatic animals representing some 1,500 species of fishes, reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, birds and mammals from waters around the world. Known as “The World’s Aquarium,” this four level oceanarium contains exhibits on the Pacific Northwest, the Amazon, the Waters of the World, Illinois’ Rivers and Lakes, tropical reefs and more.
